Here at Hopping Bird Co. we grow all of our peppers right in our backyard and we are passionate about creating amazing hot sauces, jellies and pepper flakes from them. Each creation is unique, often available for a limited time and possibly never to be reproduced. Our peppers span the spectrum, from common sweet Bells and Italian fryers to unique favorites like Peter Pepper or Ralph Thomson Squash pepper all the way to the hots such as Fatali and notorious super hots like Carolina Reaper.

While we have the ability to make weapons grade sauces our focus is on flavor and enhancing your meal. Each season we try to make one super hot and a not hot with a few in between so everyone can enjoy our creations.

Where fruits and vegetables transform into food and community.
We grow a lot more than peppers in our yard. Each season brings with it all kinds of vegetables, fruits, berries and herbs. We find passion in growing, eating and preserving as much as we can. Tomatoes become sauces, berries and herbs become pies, muffins and jellies, cucumbers get consumed quickly with hummus and of course our peppers become sauces, pepper flakes and more. Friends and family always look forward to gathering around the table to try new flavors and savor the tried and true ones.
